Brent was injured on March 14, 2026, while riding his dirt bike alone and creating and maintaining trails. After coming over a hill, he lost control and collided headfirst with a tree, sustaining severe injuries to his neck. He suffered a C3 incomplete spinal cord injury and is now living with quadriplegia but has movement in his legs and continues working toward regaining function in his upper extremities.
