Curtis Johnson
While swimming at home, Curtis attempted to leapfrog over a friend’s shoulders and landed awkwardly in the water, immediately losing movement from the shoulders down. After being pulled from the pool, Curtis instructed his friend to call 911 and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where and MRI revealed a C3-C4 spinal cord injury.
