Dario suffered a spinal cord injury with friends while snowboarding at Breckenridge, CO on January 10, 2018. He suffered a cervical spinal cord injury, and was flown to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO where he underwent surgery. He was then admitted to Craig Hospital, where he experienced some of the best spinal cord rehabilitation in the country.
