In 2010, at the end of Garrett’s freshman year, he was home alone and attending a double front flip on a trampoline. He came up short on the rotation and landed on his head, instantly paralysing himself from the chest down. He had to crawl to the edge of the trampoline any way he could and call an ambulance himself.
