Genevieve Halle
In 2001, Genevieve was pursuing a professional snowboarding career and competing at the US Open. After placing second in the pre-qualifiers, she advanced to the main qualifiers to compete alongside professional athletes. During her second run, a crash while attempting a McTwist resulted in a broken back, leaving Genevieve paraplegic and dramatically altering the course of her career.
