In January 2014, Reno resident Jason Giovannoni was training for the Tough Mudder, and while doing pull-ups; he fell on his neck causing him to lose feeling in his extremities. Upon arriving at Renown Medical Center, Jason found that he had fractured his C4/5 vertebrae rendering him a quadriplegic.

Jason and his incredibly supportive family have poured all their efforts into his recovery. Even prior to receiving a grant from High Fives, Jason was using the CR Johnson Healing Center three times a week.
