Jeffery Denney
Jeffery grew up skiing man-made ice on the freezing cold hills of Minnesota with a family whose heritage ran deep with skiing and the sport of ski jumping. In March of 2012, Jeffery suffered a life altering injury while skiing. He collided with a tree and shattered his right leg below the knee, the damage was beyond repair and his leg would have to be amputated. Last winter, Jeffery trained with the National Ability Center in Park City, UT and not only learned how to snowboard, but competed in two adaptive snowboard cross events. With his sights still set on Russia, he is training hard to compete as a snowboarder at the Paralympics.
