Joseph Shortt
Joseph was injured in 2002 in a vehicle accident when his vehicle was struck by a drunk driver who continued to hit other cars. After exiting his vehicle, he attempted to intervene but was dragged before being thrown from the truck when it crashed and rolled. The impact caused fractures to his C4, C5, and C6 vertebrae, resulting in quadriplegia.
