While out mountain biking, Joshua unexpectedly hit a rock which sent him flipping over his handlebars and into a tree. This accident resulted in a C5 incomplete injury.

Joshua aspires to continue working on his strength; to increase his upper body strength for transferring and manual wheelchair use and to continue his strengthening programs through Project Walk.

“It means the world to me. It means I get to continue therapy to get healthier, stronger, and better with not worrying about where some of the funding!”

“It’s better to take a chance in life, to win a victory or suffer a defeat even though scared by failure… Then it is to live in the shadows of life as some do never knowing the victory or defeat because they have not the guts to try either.“
