In September 2024, while camping and riding ATV’s and side-by-sides near Payson, Kevin set out with friends to get cell service. During the ride, he came around a corner and encountered a truck driving toward him in his lane. In an effort to avoid a collision, he swerved, hit a dirt berm, and was ejected from his quad into a tree before landing on a fallen tree. The crash resulted in fractures to his T3, T9, and T10 vertebrae, 11 broken ribs, and bilateral lung punctures.
