Leanna De Fere
Leanna was injured while scouting rock climbing routes in the Granite Dells of Prescott, Arizona. When a large boulder shifted in her hands, she fell approximately 40 feet into a granite slot canyon. The impact crushed her L1 vertebra, resulting in Cauda Eqina and Conus Medullaris syndromes and requiring emergency surgery to stabilize her spine with titanium rods.
