Lindsay McKay

Lindsay was nearing the completion of a 10-mile hike along the river in Tahquamenon State Park in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She lost her footing, stumbled off the trail, and over a cliff, freefalling 20 feet, landing in the river on several logs that were braced against the rock face of the cliff.
She ended up with a broken neck and an incomplete Spinal Cord Injury at my C7 level, leaving her paralyzed in her entire right leg.
She has continued being an athlete by playing wheelchair basketball and tennis. She is hoping to continue her love for cycling by getting a hand cycle with a goal to compete again.
