In March 2013, Marcus was skiing with his wife and children when he misjudged a jump in the terrain park, lost control in the air, landed on his back and shattered his T11 vertebrae. The crash resulted in a complete T11 spinal cord injury.

Skiing was a huge part of Marcus’ life, and it is one of his favorite things to do with his family. Marcus always has had a tremendous love for the mountains and it is very important that he pass that same love on to his children. Marcus’ goal is to ski with his 8-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter one day soon.

“PLUCK THE DAY LIKE A RIPE FRUIT AND ENJOY, FOR IT MAY BE YOUR LAST.”
