Mark Brogan
While serving as a U.S. Army Cavalry officer leading a patrol in Al Anbar, Iraq, in April 2006, Mark was injured when a suicide bomber detonated explosives nearby. The blast caused a traumatic brain injury and shrapnel damage to his upper spinal cord and brain stem. Mark spent more than a year recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
