Sam crashed his speedwing into a ridge he was flying down. He instantly lost feeling and movement in his legs but luckily maintained consciousness and was able to call for a helicopter hoist rescue. He has had a gradual return of sensation and strength since surgery and plans to continue working as hard as possible to maximize potential and cannot wait to continue adventuring outdoors
