Samson crashed his mountain bike when he was 19 in Kamloops BC. Of the 25 broken bones he suffered, 14 of them were in his spine. Paralyzed from the chest down, Samson got into a sit-ski only a few weeks out of the hospital. While the transition from standing to seated was hard in every way, being able to get outside and access hard to reach places in nature always gave him the perspective he needed to see the beauty in life. Since his injury, Samson has pioneered a number of adaptive sports in the sea, sky and the snow. He has had the privilege of competing alongside some of the greatest athletes on the planet.
