Saul Alvarez
On November 11, 2022, Saul was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in significant injuries. Taking advantage of Veterans DAy off, Saul decided to go for a ride on Mt. Hamilton along Highway 130. Having a heavy rain storm just days before, the road was strewn with debris. Rounding a sharp curve, Saul’s motorcycle slid on some gravel, causing him to hit a street sign, breaking his back upon impact. After lying there for about 90 minutes, a passing car finally stopped to help. Saul suffered a severe spinal cord injury at the T4-T7 region, six broken ribs, and a punctured lung.
