Sean was on an annual camping trip at the end of an impressive first year of motocross racing. While navigating a set of rollers, his back tire awkwardly struck the top of one, causing him to go over the handlebars and land on his head. He sustained fractures to his T4, T5, and T6 vertebrae, his right scapula, right wrist, five ribs on the right side, his sternum, and one rib on the left side.
