Skye was riding his mountain bike at Porcupine Rim out in Moab in October 2017. He had an amazing day up until one of the drops where he tapped his brakes, didn’t have enough speed and ended up going over the bars vertically landing on his head. The crash broke his back immediately upon impact. When he arrived at the medical center, he was told he broke his back at T-3/T-4, pinched his cord, broke 7 ribs and fractured his sternum.
