Todd Morand
In 2008, while on active duty in the marine corps, Todd Morand was in a motocross accident which resulted in a burst fracture of his L-2 vertebrae, resulting in spinal cord damage at the t10 level. After a full year of rehabilitation, Todd was ready to get back to a life of healthy competition and drive. Introduced to skiing in Breckenridge at the Ski Spectacular event, Todd knew right away that it was the sport for him because of the independence and freedom it provided. A few seasons later, Todd was invited to train with the Aspen Valley Ski Club. In 2013, the Morand family moved to Colorado to pursue healthy competition and a rewarding lifestyle.
Skiing has changed Todd’s perspective on what he considered normal for a disabled individual. He loves the sport and cannot wait to achieve the highest levels in the skiing!
