During an off-road race in Baja, Mexico, Wendy’s team rolled their race vehicle. When she was able to get out of the car, she was run over by another racing vehicle. Everything after that that could of gone wrong….did. Multiple surgeries in Mexico, two attempts to air lift her to the States, and another 16 surgeries later for injuries including but not limited to the broken left leg, dislocated right and left knees, multiple torn ligaments in both knees, TBI, cervical spine injuries, massive internal trauma, and ultimately the amputation of her lower right leg.
