Wojtek Poppe
Wojtek was injured on September 26, 2015, while road biking down Hicks Road in San Jose, California. He lost consciousness during the ride and later woke up in a ditch before being transported to the hospital. The crash resulted in a spinal cord injury and paralysis, and his helmet split in two, ultimately saved his life.
