August 18th Return to Dirt Day Trip

On August 18th, 2024, PJ Heger from Traverse City, MI, joined the Return to Dirt program for a thrilling day in the Colorado mountains. After a snowmobile accident, PJ lives by the mantra, “Anything I did before, I can do now.” This was clear as he navigated the rugged terrain using Sure Grip Hand Controls in a Can-Am Off-Road vehicle.

“Epic day at @returntodirt with @bimturr !!! More pics and videos to come. What an amazing experience flying through the mountains of Colorado with a fellow paralyzed friend. Thank you so much Tim and Dillon and Big Tim!!! I’m driving these machines with hand controls if you’re wondering, my legs still no worko. And a big thanks to the @hi5sfoundation for helping get this together!”
