On August 1st, 2024, the High Fives Foundation celebrated an incredible day of biking at Killington Mountain with Vermont Adaptive. The weather was perfect, and the camaraderie among the participants was even better. This special event was made even more memorable as we proudly received a Proclamation from the State of Vermont, officially recognizing the day of 8/1 as a day dedicated to adaptive sports and community.
The event brought together an inspiring group of nearly 40 people, including 16 athletes, 7 dedicated volunteers, and partners from the Kelly Brush Foundation, Burton Snowboards, and Bowhead Corp. The presence of these organizations added an extra layer of support and enthusiasm, making the day one to remember.
As we look back on Vermont Bike Day, we’re reminded of the power of adaptive sports and the importance of coming together to support one another. We’re grateful to all who participated and made this day so special.
