Austin Price is Riding Forward

Austin Price, a spirited motorcyclist, was cruising home after a day with his companions. Merely three blocks away from his home, as he navigated a sharp bend, fate took a turn. Leaning into the curve, Austin’s foot peg suddenly folded, causing his bike to skid out. The ensuing collision with an oncoming vehicle launched him into the air, leaving him with life-changing injuries. Reaching out to the High Fives Foundation, Austin discovered a community that understood his struggles and shared his determination to overcome them.
At the December 2023 High Fives Gala, Austin’s journey took an unforgettable turn. Founder Roy Tuscany and Director Dani Trujillo took the stage to surprise Austin with a brand-new three-wheel Harley Davidson motorcycle, custom-fit with adaptive hand controls and space to secure his wheelchair. The moment was emotional, filled with gratitude, tears, and the unspoken recognition that this wasn’t just a gift. It was a key to freedom, a reminder that the open road was still waiting for him.

Building Strength at Home

Austin’s journey doesn’t stop with the Harley. Thanks to a partnership with BeaverFit USA, his garage has transformed into a full-on training space, equipped with adaptive workout gear that allows him to train hard, rebuild strength, and focus on his health from home.

Austin’s story is still unfolding, and every day he writes a new chapter. Whether it’s rolling into his garage gym to push through another workout, or strapping into his Harley and feeling the wind against his face, he is proving that recovery isn’t a destination, it’s a way of life. The High Fives Foundation is proud to stand beside Austin as he continues this journey.
