CELEBRATING JON MCCULLOUGH, 1965 – 2014

Two-Time U.S. Paralympian Jon McCullough passed

Two-Time U.S. Paralympian Jon McCullough passed away after years of fighting esophageal cancer. The High Fives Foundation is extremely saddened to learn of Jon’s passing. We admire his numerous accomplishments, wearing hats as a Paralympian, Disability Rights Advocate and Executive Director of Blaze Sports America. Away from the Paralympic Movement, Jon was Deputy Director of Man Up, a global campaign to activate youth to stop violence against women and girls.

U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati said, “Jon lived his life with the embodiment of team spirit, always willing to give everything he could for the good of the sport and his community. The U.S. Soccer and Paralympic communities have lost a great advocate and an even better person. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.”

Best wishes to Jon’s family and friends.
