The Edge of Impossible showcases the unlimited potential of human spirit and friendship, as it follows High Fives Foundation athlete Tony Schmiesing’s journey to become the first quadriplegic to heli-ski the backcountry of the Chugach Mountain Range in Alaska; the Mecca of the extreme freeskiing world. Join Mountain Area Preservation for the 2nd Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour in Historic Downtown Truckee! Saturday October 10th at the Community Art Center. They will host two sessions of environmental films with themes including Adventure with a Purpose, Special Places, Water, Fish, Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking and more!! Matinee film screening will start at 3pm, box office opens at 2pm, and evening film screening will start at 6pm.
This years Wild & Scenic on Truckee in Truckee is sponsored by Keep Truckee Green, Truckee Donner Chambers of Commerce, Epic Vail Resorts, Cabona’s, Brand Geek, Truckee Downtown Merchants Association, Truckee Donner Public Utilities District, Copy Center, & New Moon Natural Foods. The festival will have drinks, a raffle, music and food for sale by Tahoe Food Hub & Picnic Tahoe! Youth/Student ticket $15, Adult ticket $25. Tickets are good for both film screenings, matinee & evening.
