Event Spotlight: 3000 Words Photography & Philanthropy Event
This Friday, June 29 from 5:00-11:00pm, 3000 Words will showcase the best in photography while raising money and awareness for the program services of the High Fives Foundation. A $10 door charge will include passed appetizers and entertainment.
Heralded photographers from the Lake Tahoe region and beyond will submit their best framed photographs in three inspirational categories: Winter, Human Power or Famous Mountain Landscapes / Eagles. These categories will represent the High Fives Foundation, Biking for a Better World and the Shane McConkey Foundation (respectively).
Attendees at 3000 Words will have a chance to not only vote on the best in show in each category but also to walk away with a timeless piece of art via the silent auction portion of the evening. Also, a pair of 4FRNT CR Johnson Commemorative Skis will be given out to one lucky door prize winner.
Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the High Fives Foundation, which will in turn make donations to the Shane McConkey Foundation and Biking for a Better World. Beginning at 10pm the classy affair will then ease into a dance party with beats supplied by the Silver Boombox Thief.
