Event Spotlight: Arcade Belts Presents the SKINNY Ski-A-Thon
Arcade Belts and the High Fives Foundation Present the SKINNY Ski-A-Thon, An all day fundraiser to benefit the High Fives Foundation – Scheduled for April 1, 2013
April 1, 2013 Squaw Valley (Olympic Valley, CA) will host the SKINNY Ski-A-Thon from 9am-4pm. Participants will complete as many laps on the KT-22 lift as possible on SKINNY skis with a waist of 70 millimeters or less.
It will not be a race, but a casual event to have fun and enjoy the outdoors in the name of philanthropy.
Participants will raise money for each completed lap and also gather flat donations with proceeds going to the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation. Join the event by individually registering, registering a team or sponsoring someone today at pledge.highfivesfoundation.org.
The High Fives Foundation partners with like minded companies to further increase fundraising while increasing awareness for athletes that suffer a life altering injury in the winter sports community. It is with great appreciation that the SKINNY Ski-A-Thon is presented by Arcade Belts and is supported by Wells Fargo, K2 Skis, GoPro, SnoCru, Squaw Valley, Justins, Cabot Cheese and Pop Chips, Smith Optics, Vermont Peanut Butter Co. and Fireside Pizza Co.
The amount of laps that I ski is equivalent to my passion for raising money for the High Fives Foundation and the athletes they support. I had a great time last year and I am looking forward to skiing more laps this year while raising even more money! Greg Lindsey Local professional skier and reigning SKINNY Ski-A-Thon champion (46 laps skied in 2012).
Participants will raise money for each lap completed and also gather flat donations with proceeds going to the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation.
