Two roads diverged in a wood and I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.
The main theme of the poem, The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost, is related to choices and decisions that are part of our lives.
Winter Empowerment Athlete, Max Elles’, inspirational journey proves that through rehabbing like crazy he can take whatever road he chooses.
“I never thought about not getting better,” Elles said.
On December 27, 2012 Max hit a hidden water bar while snowboarding at Killington Resort (VT). Immediately, the promising young snowboarder knew his back was broken. He then spent the next 43 days in two hospitals, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical and Spaulding Rehab Hospital. Max’s goals have been to regain as much strength, balance, and mobility as possible.
Everyone at the High Fives Office would like to wish you the best birthday Max!
