High Fives Wheelchair Rugby Team Wins 2025 D2 National Championship

The High Fives Wheelchair Rugby Team is officially national champions! The team traveled to Tampa, Florida, to compete in the 2025 Division 2 National Championship at Wiregrass Arena—and they came home with the title.

With six games in three days, the squad showed grit, strategy, and unstoppable teamwork, going a perfect 6-0 to take the crown. In the championship game, High Fives faced off against WWAR (Wounded Warriors Ability Ranch) and secured the win with a final score of 54–45.

Wheelchair rugby is played with four athletes on the court per team, across four 8-minute quarters. The action is intense and fast-paced—and this team brought the heat.

A huge shoutout to High Fives high pointer David Garcia, who was named Best in Class 3.5 for his outstanding performance throughout the weekend.

“It was a great weekend,” said team member and High Fives Athlete, Jeff Andrews. “The whole team came together, played well, and finished off undefeated. We’re finishing strong and already getting ready for next season.”

Congratulations to this incredible group of athletes for representing the High Fives Foundation with passion, teamwork, and heart. We couldn’t be more proud. High Five!
