High Fives in the News: Matt Masson Skis Les Grand Montets

Matt Masson (of the United Kingdom) is huge supporter of theCR Johnson Healing Center and a major fan of CR Johnson. Matt suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury when he was 23 years old. He had to undergo many of the same forms of mental rehabilitation and cognitive therapy that CR Johnson did. He has been skiing for CR Johnson in Chamonix (France) and updated us with at Les Grand Montets after skiing with the legendary Dean Decas.

The High Fives Foundation arranged for the lesson with Dean Decas (a longtime supporter and friend of the Foundation). Thanks Dean!

Matt sports the CR Johnson CR Johnson Commemorative goggle and helmet fromSmith Optics(I/O and Maze). Learn more about the CR Johnson Healing Center (a program service of the High Fives Foundation) and how to at:crjohnson.org

Carrying Matt down the stairs. Fabien and Deano – a couple of heroes.

They made it!

Deano explaining something to Matt and Fabien (and little Lily, Fabs daughter)

Having a rest halfway down.

Planning their next moves…

This photo shows you how far Matt skied. If you look up the middle of this picture you can see a chair lift and just make out the first of the huge pylons that carry the cable car to Grands Montets which is the middle peak in the distance. All those guys in green jackets and yellow pants were on an outing.

And finally having a drink with Deano and Nick (Matts Dad who hurt his knee and couldnt ski with us). It was a perfect day!
