#HighFivesAthlete Bond Camp, an avid adventurer, traveler & skier has made great leaps since his injury in January of this year.
The High Fives Foundation has provided Bond with a shower bench and adaptive commode chair, massage and Acupuncture in the Denver, CO area, Manual Therapy at Physical Therapy & Injury Specialists and Personal Training at the PEAK Center. The PEAK Center at Craig Hospital, located in Englewood, Colorado, is an adaptive health and wellness center serving individuals from across the country with neurologic disabilities in order to optimize their recovery and to create a lifelong plan for their health and wellness.
Bond was backcountry skiing south of Breckenridge in an area called Crystal Lakes. While skiing one of his best lines of the season, Bond caught an edge causing him to spin and slam onto his back. The impact led to T2 and T3 fractures causing paralysis from the nipples down. The crash also led to a broken left scapula, three broken ribs, and a punctured left lung.
