High Fives Inspirational Athlete || Landon McGauley
Landon McGauley is about as spirited as they come. A 15-year-old downhill mountain biker and skier from Quesnel, British Colombia suffered a T5 burst fracture that caused him to be paralyzed from the sternum down. The High Fives Winter Empowerment Fund enabled Landon to return to the mountain and be with his friends and family.
Just like our great friend CR Johnson said, “Live your life, Love your life, No regrets… Live learn and move forward positively.”
Landon has moved forward confidently and positively with flying colors. His goal of making the Canadian Paralympic Ski Team is within sight from his hard-working, never give up attitude.
Because of this the High Fives Foundation and the Truckee Bike Park have created Landon’s Launch to give a piece of Landon back into the bike community of Tahoe.
The Truckee Bike Park, located next to River View Sports Park, has an amazing pump tack, upper dirt jumps, lower dirt jumps and a dual slalom course for beginners, intermediate, or expert bikers.
Landon’s passion lives on with Landon’s Launch.
He is so inspiring for our youth Love to you Landon
