On June 5, the High Fives Foundation gathered at Martis Camp for a Community & Conversation event, bringing together 75 attendees and 11 High Fives Athletes for an evening centered on resilience, connection, and celebration.

A special panel discussion featured High Fives Athlete Ambassador and Athlete Brierly McCubbins and Jeff Andrews, who shared their personal journeys, experiences in adaptive sports, and the impact the High Fives community has had on their lives. Joining them on stage were Dani Trujillo, Director of Programs, and Roy Tuscany, who spoke about the organization’s continued commitment to supporting athletes living with life-changing injuries.
The evening was also an opportunity to recognize and celebrate every athlete in attendance, highlighting the strength, perseverance, and achievements that define the High Fives community.

Adding to the significance of the event, attendees joined together to celebrate Roy’s 20th “Alive Day”, marking two decades since the life-changing accident that ultimately inspired the creation of the High Fives Foundation. The milestone served as a powerful reminder of how one person’s recovery journey has grown into a movement that continues to create opportunities and support for hundreds of athletes across North America.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their stories, and helped make the evening a meaningful celebration of community, recovery, and the power of saying yes to life’s next adventure. Full Photo Album HERE.
