A Statement from High Fives Foundation and City of Reno
Once again, after much consideration and discussion between the High Fives Foundation and the City of Reno, it is our deepest regret to inform you that the Military to the Mountain 2020 program is officially canceled.
While initially, we tried to move forward with the M2M program, the conditions surrounding the COVID 19 virus and the health and safety concerns for our Athletes, staff, and all of those involved in this program grew to be too much.
This morning, the White House Administration released an official statement declaring a National Emergency surrounding the status of the virus. It would be irresponsible for us to move forward with this program understanding the threat of large group interaction at this time.
We appreciate your understanding and your continued support in the High Fives Foundation and to the Military to the Mountain program.
While this announcement is heart-breaking, we know we are making the right decision. We know how special the Military to the Mountain program is. We so appreciate your support.
