Return to Dirt’s second June ride took us deep into the heart of Colorado’s alpine beauty, The Crystal Mill. This 25-mile adaptive off-road experience was a first for Arizona-based athlete Mike Scott and is an area that Doug Rottman has been enjoying since he was a child.

From switchbacks to waterfalls, the trail was packed with challenge, laughter, and awe-inspiring views. For Mike, the ride marked his debut with High Fives and the Return to Dirt program—a reminder that healing happens not just in clinics, but also on mountainsides and muddy roads.

Doug, who rode alongside Mike, brought the same energy we see in all our incredible community members: support, encouragement, and a serious love for the outdoors.
