For three empowering days in Colorado, five adaptive women rallied UTVs up rocky ridgelines, cast fishing lines into quiet waters, and even took flight paragliding all supported by ten incredible women volunteers and a woman-led film crew behind the camera.
This camp wasn’t just about horsepower and big views. It was about adrenaline, connection, and redefining what’s possible together.

“I first learned about the High Fives Foundation three months into my injury, and I had a pretty bleak outlook on what life in a wheelchair would look like. As soon as I found High Fives, it really changed my life.” – Sam Summers, High Fives Athlete
Return to Dirt gives athletes the freedom to explore wild places again and to rediscover confidence along the way.
“I feel really grateful for every single trip that I get invited on. I can’t imagine what my life would be like without that community and Return to Dirt.” – Sam Summers, High Fives Athlete
Being surrounded by a community who gets it opens doors most don’t see.
“It can be really isolating being in a wheelchair, so to have people that have experienced the same thing and have different ways of dealing with it is super inspiring.” – Amanda Suebert, High Fives Athlete
Together, this group not only rallied trails, they rallied each other.
“I grew up gravitating toward sports that were more male-dominated, but it’s really cool to find that community of women who just enjoy the adrenaline and can relax together.” – Sam Summers, High Fives Athlete
With the right support system, risk becomes a road to growth.
“When you have such an amazing support system like High Fives, it’s just a safe place to fall and that’s really beautiful because it makes taking risks easier.” – Amanda Suebert, High Fives Athlete

To every woman who showed up, cheered loud, pulled throttle, cast lines, and soared high… thank you for blazing the trail.
