From snow-covered mountains to red rock trails and ocean swells, the first half of 2025 has been packed with meaningful milestones, adaptive adventures, and life-changing moments. Here’s a look back at some of the incredible programs and events that have shaped the year so far for the High Fives Foundation…

January
Stowe, VT & Steamboat Springs, CO
We kicked off the year in full send mode with two unforgettable adaptive ski camps. Whether it was carving fresh lines in Vermont or linking turns in Colorado, these camps brought together athletes, mentors, and community to celebrate resilience on snow.
February
Georgetown, CO
We returned to the ice—literally—with Return to Dirt on the frozen tracks of Georgetown. Adaptive athletes took to hand-controlled vehicles for a thrilling day of icy speed, proving there’s no limit to where adventure can happen.
March
Palisades Tahoe, CA
Military to the Mountain 2025 was a powerful experience from start to finish. Veterans and first responders spent a week on snow, learning adaptive ski and snowboard skills while building trust, healing, and lifelong camaraderie.

April
Moab, UT
We explored the stunning White Rim Trail in Canyonlands National Park with adaptive athletes and a stellar support crew. This four-day off-road expedition challenged limits and unlocked new possibilities against the backdrop of red rock spires and desert skies.
May
Santa Cruz, CA
The ocean welcomed our crew for the first Adaptive Surf Camp of the year. With wetsuits zipped and boards ready, participants caught waves and found freedom in the saltwater, reminding us all that healing can be both fun and fearless.
June
Truckee, CA & Crystal Mill, CO
We closed out the first half of the year with two powerful events…
- Community & Conversation at Martis Camp, where supporters gathered to connect and celebrate the impact of High Fives.
- Return to Dirt day trips have started, offering adaptive moto athletes an unforgettable ride through the mountains.

From coast to coast, we’ve been proud to support nearly 1,000 athletes with opportunities that push boundaries and expand what’s possible. And we’re just getting started.
Here’s to more High Fives in the months ahead.
