we are definitely feeling the love from the amazing community of Tahoe that we are incredibly blessed to be a part of. The people and businesses who call this area home are always so incredibly supportive, caring, and loving. One of the businesses we are so blessed to have gotten to work with since the early days of the foundation is Riverside Studios in Downtown Truckee.
The staff their has been running the Lion Heart Art Show annually for 10 years with profits going to High Fives. The event allows artists to showcase their work on either a 12″X12″ PANELS OF WOOD OR 4”X2″ “SKIS”.
EACH PIECE submitted Was AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE with an option for the artist to donate various percentages
All PROCEEDS FROM THE ARTWORK SOLD WILL BENEFIT THE CR JOHNSON HEALING CENTER – A PROGRAM SERVICE OF THE HIGH FIVES NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION THAT PROVIDES RESOURCES FOR ATHLETES IN RECOVERY FROM OUTDOOR-SPORTS RELATED INJURIES. RESOURCES INCLUDE: PHYSICAL THERAPY, ACUPUNCTURE, MASSAGE, PERSONAL TRAINING AND MORE.
The Tenth Year of the Lion heart art show saw one of the most successful turnouts yet. $3800 dollars was raised, this money will go a long ways in helping the lives of individuals you have sustained life altering injuries.
The CR Johnson healing center was built upon a Vision of CR’s that there would be a place that Athletes with life altering injures could come and train to be the best versions of themselves. So it is only fitting that the late skiers Mom,Dad, and sister would be there to present High Fives with the cheque that would help drive the dream their son and brother had.
Jason Abraham was also in attendance for the cheque presentation, as an Athlete who has directly benefitted from the CR Johnson Healing foundation it was important to have him their as a representation to the power that the center has.
Our hearts are truly full and we are so proud to be able to carry upon CR’s legacy. We wish to extent a huge High Five and Hug to the Riverside Art Studio for organizing and hosting this event as well as the community we are lucky enough to call home for opening up their hearts and wallets to support two local businesses.
