High Fives to Host 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Sugarbush Resort Golf Club

36 teams will compete for incredible prizing and year-long East Coast bragging rights

The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament presented by GoPro, Vermont North Ski Shops, CMHACC Apothecary and Sugarbush Resort on Friday, August 14, 2015. The event will take place at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club.

Openings for 12 teams remain.  If you’re interested in registering as a team of 4 or as an individual, visit:

Following the 10:00am-11:00am registration, the day’s events will kick off with lunch provided by Mutha Stuffers, and a “Break the Glass” competition sponsored by Boston Bruins Foundation where golfers will attempt to shatter a pane of glass by hitting golf balls at it from a challenging distance.

Also preceding the on-course play, golfers will try their skills at another fun challenge — the Hit the Gondola Contest sponsored by Head Skis. Golfers will aim to hit a vintage Sugarbush gondola from 200 yards away for their chance at incredible prizing from tournament sponsors. See a full list of all sponsors below.

“Heading back to my home state for this tournament is really meaningful year after year,” said Roy Tuscany High Fives Foundation Executive Director. “This is a community that truly cares about helping athletes in recovery. They were a big part of my recovery and now the recoveries of 85 other High Fives Athletes. Plus, they like to have fun.”

At 12:30pm on the day of the event, teams of four will move to the fairways and work together in a scramble format. Players will have the chance to participate in many on-course challenges to win additional prizing. Afterwards there will be a putting contest, awards, silent auction and dinner at Localfolk Smokehouse in Waitsfield, Vt.

Tournament entry is $600 per team of 4, and all proceeds will go to the High Fives Foundation to help in the recovery process of mountain action sports athletes with life-altering injuries. If you would like to register a team please visit the tournament website at

“We are pleased to be the host site of the High Fives East Coast Charity Golf Tournament for the third straight year,” said RJ Austin, Sugarbush Golf Club Teaching Pro. “It is awesome to bridge the golfing world with the ski hill and the rewards received by High Fives Athletes in recovery.”
