AMAZING HUMAN HIGHLIGHT | MILITARY TO THE MOUNTAIN PARTICIPANT Keith Murphy
There’s few sure things in winter sports. Will the weather cooperate? Will you bring the correct skies for the conditions. One thing that is sure though – Keith Murphy is going to have the most fun out on the mountain!
Keith Murphy, from Dallas, Texas joined the crew from Adaptive Training Foundation as a participant in the High Fives Foundation Military to the Mountain (M2M) Program. Keith is a United States Army Veteran (1985-1989), and has had the time of his life so far this week in the M2M Program.
In between Keith’s huge smile came some frustration though.
I've never skied before, and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It takes so much core!
With the expert instruction from Achieve Tahoe, Keith turned a corner on day three of the program.
Keegan and the team at Alpine Meadows, Achieve Tahoe, were incredible. They see the problem, make the appropriate corrections, and help you get to the bottom of the lift.
Keith was even able to reach a personal skiing milestone…which there will be a lot of this week, as it’s his first week ever skiing.
I made it down two runs without falling
It’s hard to tell if his smile was bigger playing dodgeball at Woodward Tahoe or on the slopes of Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, but one thing is for sure; Keith Murphy knows how to have fun!
