Lawrence Green, High Fives Athlete #92, Adapts and Destroys.
At High Fives Foundation, we’re honored to be part of Lawrence’s story and countless others like him to show us all what it means to truly adapt and destroy, both on and off the track.
Step 1 – Getting Geared Up
Lawrence starts by suiting up in his riding gear, mentally preparing himself for what comes next.
Step 2 – The Lift
Lawrence lifts himself onto the bike and then makes sure everything is securely fastened.
Step 3 – Modified Bikes
The dirt bike he uses has been modified, featuring an all-hand-operated system. From throttle control to brakes, everything is within reach. Additionally, these adaptive bikes come with customized features like an FMF exhaust system.
Step 4 – Ready to Ride
The next step is getting the bike off its stand and ready to roll. Here, the support of his coaches comes into play as they assist in stabilizing the bike while Lawrence gets ready to take off. The coaches walk alongside him, ensuring the bike is steady until Lawrence feels balanced. Then, they let go, and Lawrence is back where he belongs—on two wheels, tearing through the dirt, doing what he loves.
