Bringing the Ocean to the Mountains, a First-of-its-Kind Adaptive Wake- Surf Program

High Fives Foundation announces a groundbreaking partnership with MasterCraft Boat Company, introducing the first adaptive surf program of its kind on Lake Tahoe. This unique collaboration features the state-of-the-art MasterCraft X24, specially designed to provide adaptive athletes and veterans with unparalleled access to water sports.

“High Fives has created an amazing adaptive surf program which was built on world-class surf breaks and international competitions. After years of traveling to find waves, we are finally bringing the waves to Tahoe with a MasterCraft X24. We have the most beautiful backdrop of terrain, with the bluest water, and access to lakes around the Reno-Tahoe area. With the use of this boat, we will be able to bring adaptive surfing and the healing powers of water to all in the basin.”

Roy Tuscany, founder and CEO of High Fives Foundation

The MasterCraft X24, a custom build in a unique desert tan color, caters specifically to adaptive athletes. This partnership is not just about providing access—it’s about creating a community where athletes can try new sports and push their boundaries, all while enjoying the stunning natural beauty of the Tahoe basin.

High Fives Foundation and MasterCraft are dedicated to giving back and empowering individuals through innovative programs. This new venture exemplifies their shared commitment to inclusivity and the transformative power of sports. The High Fives Foundation has the goal of providing 50 first-time experiences this summer on Lake Tahoe and collectively providing 150 hours of adaptive wake-sports to the community that they serve.
