High Fives Foundation to provide Eric Zerrenner with $2,390.00 to aid in his recovery from a life-altering injury.

On January 8, 2015 Eric Zerrenner was skiing at Alpine Meadows with two friends from work. While skiing down Wolverine Bowl, Eric went to pre-jump a roller, which dropped off to complete flats. Eric landed extremely hard on his chest, and when he awoke, he found his helmet in pieces scattered next to him.

When Eric arrived at Renown Medical Center doctors told him that his left shoulder was dislocated, and he had burst fractured T12-L1 causing paralysis from the waist down. That afternoon Eric underwent two spinal surgeries.

Eric is currently adjusting to the hospital as his injury occurred just over a month ago. While his injury is recent and his body needs to heal from the recent trauma, Eric has started rehab and is on his long road to recovery.

Eric’s goal is to get back to enjoying life the way it was before his accident. This includes playing with his family and kids, enjoying Tahoe, skiing, biking, surfing and SUP. Eric just wants to be the best husband, father and Tahoe community member he can better.
