On the evening of February 7th, during the downtown Truckee event First Friday’s, Riverside Studios and the High Fives Foundation hosted the 3rd Annual Lion Heart Art Show – a fundraiser for the CR Johnson Healing Center. The night, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, featured art displayed from some of the areas most distinguished artisans, while show attendees listened to beats from DJ Treez and enjoyed drinks and refreshments provided by Riverside Studios. Each piece of art, done on precut pieces of 12?x12? plywood, was sold for $100 on the evening of the show, and by nights end nearly 30 pieces had sold.
“The level of art displayed on the walls of Riverside Studios this year was stepped up tenfold from years past,” said CR Johnson Healing Center Coordinator Steve Wallace. “Everyone had such an awesome time making this years Lion Heart Art Show one that we will not soon forget!”
Great prizing from Armada Skis was provided at this years event and went to the winning artists chosen by art show attendees. A huge congratulations and high five goes out to the winning artists below:

- 1st Place (tie): Eva Nichols, Aspen Gold (Women’s Armada Skis)
- 2nd Place: Melissa Swanson, Untitled II (Women’s Armada Outerwear Kit)
- 3rd Place: Randal Hutchinson, Red Dog (Armada Ski Poles)
Riverside Studios will keep the remaining unsold pieces up on their walls and available for purchase for $100 throughout the remainder of February. This will allow people who were not able to attend the 3rd Annual Lion Heart Art Show a chance to purchase a one of a kind piece with proceeds going to a great cause.
