A new year, a new adventure! From January 19-24, nine High Fives Athletes hit the slopes of Steamboat, Colorado, for the first-ever High Five the Hill Steamboat adaptive camp. This new location brought fresh terrain, incredible conditions, and the perfect opportunity for athletes to push their limits.

Among the group, three athletes experienced their first-ever snow pillar adaptive camp, embracing the challenge and discovering the freedom of the mountains. With expert coaching from Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports (STARS), supportive peers, and Steamboat’s legendary Champagne Powder®, every turn became a milestone. Watch athletes Chris Waker & George Carpenter ride together for the first time since injury, new video below.

This camp wasn’t just about skiing and riding—it was about community, progression, and proving that no mountain is out of reach. Huge thanks to Steamboat, STARS and everyone who made this unforgettable experience possible.
Special thanks to some of our partners in awesomeness: Ikon Pass, Darn Tough Vermont, BYLT Basics, Big Agnes, Phunkshun Wear, and Wells Lamont!
Here’s to more firsts, more turns, and more high fives!
