High Five #HighFivesAthlete Tim Burr on your 833 steps outside in an exoskeleton with the help of Bridging Bionics!
Watch as Tim Burr, who was paralyzed in 2014, walks with the assistance of “Tucker,” the exoskeleton, thanks to the Bridging Bionics Foundation.
Tim sustained a spinal cord injury at the C5 level while skiing the crested butte backcountry with a friend. There was a small drop that Tim scouted and hit, causing him to land a little bit forward and crash. Tim’s friend acted quickly to get his face out of the snow so he didn’t suffocate, and then called rescue. Once he arrived at the hospital, Tim received the news that he was paralyzed from the shoulders down. Tim’s ultimate goal, no matter the time and effort that it takes, is to get back to the sports that he loves.
