High Fives Founder Roy Tuscany
On April 29, 2006 High Fives Founder Roy Tuscany went too fast and too far on a jump at Mammoth Mountain and landed on his back, suffering a T-12 Burst fracture in his spine. “I remember being in the air looking down and going over the roll. I shut my eyes and said, ‘This is gonna … hurt.’”
In the past 10 years Roy has relearned how to walk, how to ski, how to surf, and how to inspire others through the formation of High Fives Foundation. Tuscany’s secret, besides months of grueling physical therapy, is to connect with people via a simple act, a high five.
