#HIGHFIVESATHLETE ANDREW KURKA

The High Five Crew would like to shed some light on high fives athlete Andrew Kurka!

Andrew is a professional athlete/ skier for the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team, X games competitor and ski student instructor at Challenge Alaska.

In 2005 at the age of 13 Andrew suffered a spinal cord injury at the T10 level. Two years later, at age of 15, with the help of Challenge Alaska and my Physical Therapist was able to adaptive ski. Andrew was an avid wrestler and competitor before his injury, with dreams to make it big in the Olympic Circuit, with the help of the High Fives Foundation, and US Paralympics he’s able to continue chasing his dream on the snow.

Check out Andrew Monoskiing/Sitskiing in Chile this September.
